En algunas ocasiones, la humanidad peca de soberbia y otorga dones maravillosos a sus hijos. A algunos, el poder de hacer reír. Otros reciben talento inagotable para las artes, entre otras dotes. En este caso, el protagonista de esta entrevista fue tocado con una varita mágica, esa que puede transformar una pelota de fútbol es una pieza de arte y un botín en el más fino pincel.
Su nombre es Diego Alfredo Valsi, “Dieguito”. Los giros del destino hicieron que su nombre sea sinónimo de picardía, habilidad, destreza…. en definitiva, de fútbol.
Sin dudas, uno de los jugadores más grandes que haya dado este deporte en toda su historia, pretendido por equipos de todos los rincones de la galaxia, aunque los integrantes del “Mundo Toco” pueden estar tranquilos, inflar el pecho y decir “Diego es de Toco y Me Voy”.
Él es capaz de elevar el nivel de un equipo a niveles que producen vértigo tan solo con su diminuta presencia en un campo de juego. Siempre dispuesto a recibir el balón para transformar una jugada intrascendente en peligro constante para los defensores rivales. Los permanentes golpes recibidos no lo detienen, él se levanta, infla sus cachetes, se levanta y vuelve a encarar. Esa es su vida, esa es su historia…
Hoy, a los 28 años, el criado en el barrio de Caballito vuelve a erigirse como la figura del equipo. Nunca dejó de serlo pero, tal vez como nunca antes, la camiseta número 10 es la carta de presentación en la aplicación de Toco y Me Voy a una gran campaña.

Diego, ¿qué se siente gritar un gol con la camiseta de Toco y Me Voy y que los abrazos recibidos sean de personas que vivieron gran parte de tu vida a tu lado?
Hacer goles es lo más lindo que tiene el fútbol, pero si además esos goles los podes compartir con personas que conocés desde los 7 años, tiene un valor extra.
Que me vienen con los Islandeses que hacen coreografías!!!, que vengan a Citefa a ver si se aguantan quedar abajo en una montonera en las canchas de tierra.
El equipo arrancó mostrando un andar sólido en sus primeras tres presentaciones, ¿sentís que esto está ayudando a tu arranque lleno de gol?
Los goles son una consecuencia de que los demás estén dejando todo adentro de la cancha. Ya no hay jugadores que ganen partidos solos, no existen más los Salvenimi, los Perazzo, los Gosto. ESOS SI QUE GANABAN SOLOS!
Es difícil pronosticar en el mundo del fútbol pero, ¿cuántos goles pensás que podes anotar en el presente campeonato?
Con mantener el promedio que me impone el comentarista de “uno por partido” creo que está bien. Y al que quiere más, pregúntele a Angel si puede más de uno. Je.
¿Qué diferencias notás entre el Toco 2010 con versiones pasadas o con otros equipos de los que hayas sido parte?
Si bien no es el mejor Toco de la historia, el que más luce, creo que es un equipo que sabe a lo que juega, conoce sus limitaciones, y aprovecha los momentos. Y tiene a la defensa en uno de sus mejores momentos. Ya nadie se acuerda de los DANGER FOUR
¿Cómo te imaginás el último partido del campeonato?
Me imagino en cuero, maya y ojotas, sentado al lado del líder de la barra tomando algo. Seguro que para esa época, ya dimos la vuelta.
“Un Pibe como Yo”
Todos los que han visto a Diego Valsi en un campo de juego, han sido deslumbrados por su talento con la pelota en los pies pero pocos conocen sus costumbres fuera de ella. Aquí, un poco de cotidianidad del 10.
¿Cómo armarías tu fin de semana ideal?
Cualquiera con los pibes en cualquier lugar de la costa. Si es Reta mejor. Y sino donde haya una tetera.
¿Te acordás de tu primera borrachera? ¿Y de la última?
Seeeeeeeeee, de la primera me acuerdo. En la fiesta de 5to de la hermana del toso, esa noche estaba seguro de que el Toso era Superman, porque además de ocultar su figura esbelta, no quería tomar criptonita conmigo. La última fue una de las mejores, con una banda loca en la Subasta. Creo que la modalidad de Fernet 90-2-10 (90%fernet, 2 hielos, 10% coca), pega demasiado rápido.
¿Qué música tenés en tu auto?
Tengo unos cassettes medios podris que adquirió el gran Perico en el parque Rivadavia y me los regaló. Pero si tuviera que poner un cassete para recordar gratos momentos, sin dudas pondría Bachata Rosa de Juan Luis Guerra, a ese disco lo escuchamos 24 hs seguidas en un micro a Brasil con el gordo Muska.
¿Cuáles son los momentos en que Diego Valsi es “solo un pibe normal”?
No se si la palabra es “normal”. Como dijo un gran compañero de pescas y viajes interminables al puerto de Mar del Plata en Bondi: “mi vieja dice que soy especial”

Todavía algunos comentan de su alejamiento de la institución en el pasado año, ¿sufriste alguna represalia en tu retorno por este hecho?
Han sucedido situaciones extrañas, robo de ruedas en la puerta de las oficinas de la comisión, rotura de espejos. Pero ya todo quedó en el pasado. Los goles calman a las fieras.
¿Cuál fue el peor equipo de Toco que integraste?
Todos fueron buenos
Hay jugadores que compartieron equipos y muchos partidos a tu lado, ¿con cuál no querés saber más nada?
Creo que todos aportamos algo para el equipo, sería injusto nombrar a alguno que quizás ya no está.
¿Cuál fue el mejor gol que hiciste con la camiseta de Toco?
Sin dudas uno de hace muchos años a XX, de mitad de cancha, y en un partido épico. Donde hubo amenazas con termos, gritos, expulsiones. Creo que es uno de los mejores recuerdos que nos quedan de Citefa.
¿Con qué jugador de la historia de la institución te gustaría volver a compartir un campo de juego?
Me encantaría que algún día se junte dentro de la cancha el Toco que debutó en la cancha de la policía. Con Pipo, Santi, Toso, y otros grandes jugadores.

Creo que la única cuenta pendiente es salir campeón con Toco. Pero no creo que dure mucho más.

Jajaja, si. Es verdad. Pero más veces me dijeron que era parecido a Saviola

This degradation is so gradual that it's like hair loss! You see it ever so slowly and you have to be a keen eye to boot!
For example, women in the workforce...they go to work so WHO takes care of the kids? Some goofs getting minimum wage who could care less about those kids. Family split apart because NOW both parents work and the cost of life itself purposely increased to perpetuate this separation. Kids grow up with NO moral/social/family values. Repeat this a few generations and before you know it, you have mindless zombies that don't know RIGHT from WRONG! The masses will be easily programmable to get in debt, and be anti-Christ-like etc. Add ASPERTAME, Fluoride in tap water, MSG and genetically modified foodstuffs to the mix and the process expands both rapidly & exponentially.
Also, the coming mark of the beast 666. Remember HOW it all used to be ca$h only? Then they introduced checks, then credit cards to get yourself in serious financial troubles, then ATM cards, and now that STUPID SWIPE-PASS card. What is the purpose of all this? To get people broken down enough and stupid enough through putting FLUORIDE in the drinking water and ASPERTAME in soda drinks/pop cans so we ALL can accept the 666 chip.
